A fast Panga ride took us to an area that surfer’s dream about. There was serious white water all along the coast but our Capitan watched the breaks for a few minutes and pushed the accelerator forward as far it would go and we flew through the surf, dodging rocks, each of us looking to see where the life jackets were kept.
The Panga then threaded the needle through a multitude of exposed lava tunnels where Blue Footed Boobies and Noddies were nesting, tiny fur seals were sunbaking, and tiny Galapagos Penguin have their rookeries.

We also saw several Galapagos Green Turtles and two sets of turtles copulating.

We then donned our snorkelling gear and swam with the fur seals, penguins and rays. Then it was on to another snorkelling spot through more hair raising surf. It was worth the adrenalin rush to swim with 13 white tipped sharks, more penguins and 9 Galapagos turtles. On the way back we saw several large Manta Rays, one more than 3 metres across. Each day just gets better and better.

We collected our Zarpie (exit permit) from the Capitani de Puerto this afternoon and topped up with fresh fruit and vegetables so that we can leave the Galapagos tomorrow morning. We will all certainly be sad to say goodbye.

Great to read your blogs - looks like Galapagos is beautiful with lots of excitment with climbing, snorkelling, wildlife etc. Safe journey as you set sail again.
